Every parent is struggling with how to help their teen have a healthy relationship with screens. Every. Parent. Not only does it feel impossible to keep up and stay ahead of what our kids are being exposed to, communicating about screen use and misuse often results in blowouts or shutdowns. What can we do?? In this interactive power workshop, parents will learn how to normalize conversations of screen use, the power of mentoring instead of monitoring their teens, and what it looks like to collaborate on limits that keep kids safe. Participants will be encouraged to share what is most challenging for them, as well as where to go for more resources.
In a world where there is so much to distract and discourage our teens, it has never been more important for parents to know how to create systems and boundaries that keep them safe. In this power workshop, parents will learn how to be the confident authority in the household, how to collaborate with their teens in a way that develops their critical thinking and decision making skills, and tools for being ever more intentional with how we are responding when our kids get into mischief.
